Cool string skipping
This string skipping piece is not really meant to be played at warp speed. I
believe it´s most tasteful played accurate around 80 bpm (Comodo), but then again
it´s all a matter of taste. If you wanna throw this into a solo it works just
fine but I also think it stands pretty well all alone, which most "licks" doesn´t
without a context.
Start on your low e-string´s 12:th fret (E). Then go to the d-string´s
16:th fret (F#), the a-string´s 14:th fret (B), the g-string´s 16:th fret (B),
the d-string´s 14:th fret (E), the b-string´s 17:th fret (E), the g-string´s
16:th fret (B) again and stretch to the high e-string´s 19:th fret (B). This is
the first part.
The second part starts off on the a-string´s 15:th fret (C), then go the the
g-string´s 19:th fret (D), then pick the G on the d-string´s 17:th fret followed by
F# on the same string´s 16:th fret. Pick the F# on the b-string´s 19:th fret and
C on the g-string´s 17:th fret. Finally you pick the B on the high e-string´s
19:th fret.
The second part of the piece is based around C Lydian
but with the root in E, it
becomes E Aeolian.
