Sayonara and goodnight

Completely disoriented I woke up from the horrifying sound of the alarm clock around 06:00 AM. Crawled into the bathroom and performed something I think was supposed to be a shaving. The green hairdo also got water distributed over itself, if I remember correctly.

Slept my way down the elevator, tired but very happy. Itaru, punctual as ever, stood waiting and we drove for Narita airport after checking out. (Jeff Healey also woke up and begun playing the blues).

At Narita Itaru gave me a whole bag of lovely presents from him and his wife: delicate Japanese soup, a special made Caparison T-shirt, two albums of photos from yesterday's workshop (pretty fast developed!), the Laney Sound Clinic on video and great bottle of Saké! Not only is he the best guitar designer/constructor in the world, he is also kind beyond belief! Arigato, my friend!

Back to Jakarta

Shit! That was some harsh landing! We came in way too fast, way too soon and smacked the ground so hard the oxygen masks above the seats fell out! At least we know they are working… (lots of hysteric laughter in the cabin now).

Spent half a day in the airport transfer area, searching high and low for electricity to load the batteries in my computer. Had to get the Tour de France-diary ready.
After hard core investigation I found some in a café. What to do? Order 300 cups of coffee, get a caffeine shock (and Kirk Hammet-vibrato) to prevent the café-owners from throwing me out.

A short stop in Singapore where they now have machine gun military patrolling the airport. (Great development in three days… Weird).

You know what? We just took off again and I got a fully functional pair of headphones this time! Morgan Freeman has given me a second opportunity to see him act as Dr Alex Cross so I guess this is it.

It's been a pleasure. Thanks for reading. Stay freaky. Stay true. Sayonara and goodnight!

Yours truly,

IA
